Working In Rictameter
A set of "rictameter variations" tracing a day on the job, in 'picture book' format. Terse and unsentimental, yet playful.
9 commentsNocturnal Paraphrases
Nocturnal Paraphrases is a short poem, presented in six photo capsules. Each is like a page unto itself, text over image. The poem is about "life, death, places I’ve been, things I’ve done, and the process of change. Canoeing. And how it felt." It's influenced by Walt Whitman, Derek Walcott, and Margaret Atwood. And, of course, William Blake.

"Two Losses" consists of a pair of autobiographical poems, "Elegy," and "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do." The first concerns the loss of the poet's grandmother; the second, the loss of a romantic relationship. Terse and unsentimental, the poems 'tell it as it was.' They are presented in a unique 'storybook' format integrating word and image--a format perhaps inspired by the poet's long-standing admiration of the work of William Blake.
